5 days in Costa Rica!! I absolutely love it here! My life has already been changed so much! God is so good. Today, is a day of freedom in the United States. But what is freedom really? To me, freedom isn’t ever Free. Someone always has to die for that freedom…. in most cases its soldiers, the war hero’s! But who really is the ultimate war hero?? The Bible says that there is a Spiritual battle going on at all times between Good and Evil, Light and Darkness. This battle has been going on for thousands of years… but the cool thing is, is that We (Christians, Followers of Christ) have already won that battle because of….. The Ultimate War Hero, Jesus Christ. Jesus was not just any war hero, He died for the lives and freedom of EVERY person on this earth past, present and future. He has made a way for us to be free, really and truly free from all that enslaves us. He Died to give us life. real, amazing, beautiful, incredible life that can only be found in him. Jesus spent 6 hours on a cross dying slowly and painfully. He didn’t die a simple, easy death. The cross in its proper context was a symbol of death, like a noose or an electric chair. It’s a symbol of suffering anguish that our Savior, Jesus Christ died on in order to give us eternal life. so that we may forever live with him in Heaven. Jesus to me is the ultimate War Hero because as he died on that cross he whispered, IT IS FINISHED. Meaning WE are victorious in this war of Good and Evil. We are victorious because our God gave his ONLY son so that we can be free. We are victorious because when Jesus said, IT IS FINISHED, I know he meant it.
